Starch is a popular base for adhesives, particularly those designed to bond paper in some form to itself or to other materials. Tapioca starch adhesives are highly viscous and smoother working. The glue products are made in a fully automatic plant using in house upgraded technology by simulating process parameters and redesigning the reactor suitably to achieve the desired reaction. Reactor design has been perfected to achieve the process of conversion of starch to dextrin without rupturing the starch molecules. Scaling up has been perfected to maintain consistency by producing in large quantities; we are the first unit in the medium scale organized sector to produce such products in India.
100% Conversion of starch into gel (glue) is important as starch itself is not an adhesive. Partial conversion gives poor penetration and binding; Starch left unconverted also is susceptible to fungal attack and unacceptable as per the standards of the food and pharma industries.

Corroplast – VS

Corrugated boards – in 2 / 3 / 5 ply boards, our starch works well as thin paste with high viscosity giving good penetration, binding power and more output resulting in better board strength. Productivity in the paper plant increases due to 1) low steam consumption 2) low power consumption 3) increase in machine speed, lesser consumption of glue and 4) trouble free running with less labor.
Due to quality starch, the entire starch gets gelatinized at low temperature and converts into paste completely. This will not lead to fungal growth between the sheets during transportation. Gives Excellent Bursting Strength and compressed strength.

Advantages :
  • Higher compression strength and Burst factor enabling use of lesser GSM paper or recycled paper.

  • Since the entire starch gets gelatinized at 50˚ C, the Consumption of steam is less and gives quick drying with less time.
  • Due to quality starch, the entire starch gets gelatinized at low temperature and Converts into paste completely. This will not lead to fungal growth between the sheets during transportation.
